We supported Transport for London with the design and development of their training programme for the high profile Travel Ambassador's role, who provided essential support at all key TfL locations throughout the London area during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The development and delivery of training approximately 3,500 volunteers for TfL and a further 500 volunteers for Serco Docklands ensured that visitors to London were provided with all the help they needed to make their Games experience unforgettable.
Metrodev continues to provide Project Management services to Tube Lines Ltd.
Metrodev is supplying project management support to the Jubilee Line signalling upgrade project. This critical work includes the development of a revised supplier contract and programme to deliver remaining core works, and a range of reliability improvements to ensure that the new signalling system delivers peak performance throughout the challenging Olympic period. Metrodev has introduced a new cost reporting and work scope structure. Further support is being provided for future work scope and contract development to introduce system enhancements.
A Metrodev commission required the review of the existing processes for undertaking both engineering and maintenance work on a high profile rail system in the Middle East. The resultant report and recommendations led to a further commission to support the introduction of revised procedures to allow for more robust, safer and assured working practices.
Metrodev is pleased to announce the addition of a Bid and Franchise service to supplement its capability.
Whether your requirements are for the development and management of bid and franchise tender documentation, or in the preparation of proposal submissions, Metrodev is in a position to support you. We ensure that the best supplier is selected and that your organisation submits the best possible submission in response to an Invitation to Tender.
Siemens : Metrodev were awarded a contract by Siemens to analyse the training needs for an information management system that is to be supplied to a major UK rail operator and then to develop and deliver that training. The agreement with Siemens allows the system to be installed and ready to go without the need for the client to convert technical information and data into more ‘user friendly’ operations documents - a task undertaken by our training and rail professionals.
For more information on the project read the article in the November 2010 edition of the rail engineer
UKTI Trade Mission to Mexico
Metrodev joined the recent UKTI trip to Mexico. With meetings arranged in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara and Aguascalientes an appreciation was gained of some of the issues faced by rail operators in Latin America. Both the warmth of the welcome received and the evident opportunities within the region ensure that Metro Development Solutions are in a position to support those challenges.
Director Chris Beavis met with Jorge Antonio Robles Valdes, Technical Director of the Guadalajara Metro during the visit. Senor Valdes took the opportunity to explain the development of the metro within the city and the future plans for expansion.
